Who qualifies
Foreigners processing temporary residency for less than 180 days; a simplified variant of the document is provided specifically for 'digital nomads'
Documents
- Identity document of the applicant (photocopy), with which the applicant entered or will enter the country
- Sworn declaration (declaración jurada) per the reference format, signature must match the one on the ID document
- For renewal: valid Uruguayan National Identity Document (Documento Nacional de Identidad)
- For renewal: criminal background certificate, legalized/apostilled and translated (except Brazil), covering last 5 years of residence (6+ months), of national scope
- For renewal: vaccination scheme certificate issued by a vaccination center in Uruguay, per Decree No. 136/2018
