Programme conditions
Temporary stay permit (@HOME in Curaçao program) for remote workers/digital nomads for 6 months, extendable by another 6 months (max 1 year); does not grant resident status
Who qualifies
Remote workers/digital nomads (employed under contract by a foreign employer, partners/shareholders in a foreign-registered company, or freelancers/consultants with foreign clients); separate categories also exist for 'hibernators/snowbirds' and investors
Working for local clients
Not permitted to work or be employed by a local company/employer either when applying or after obtaining the permit. Only remote work for foreign employers/clients is allowed.
Entries
You can travel in and out of the island any time during the length/period of approval of your application
Family
Family members can apply under the main applicant (main provider); there is no family bundle fee. Each family member aged 12 and older must sign their own application.
Documents
- Valid passport (not expired)
- Return ticket matching the approved length of stay
- Proof of payment (bank transfer receipt)
- Valid international travel insurance, including COVID-19 coverage
- Passenger Locator Card (PLC Card) filled in prior to arrival

How to apply
Apply online via the portal www.athomeincuracao.com in Dutch, English or Spanish. Application must be submitted while staying abroad, or on the island within the allowed tourist stay (up to 90 days).
Insurance
A valid international travel insurance is required, including COVID-19 coverage; this is a prerequisite for approval of the application

You will not be required to pay Curaçao Income Tax
Renewal and residence
The remote worker's permit grants 6 months of stay with the possibility of an extension of another 6 months (maximum 1 year); after this the holder does not become a resident
