Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) — visa valid for 5 years, with a maximum period of stay of 180 days per entry
Who qualifies
Digital nomads/remote workers/foreign talent/freelancers; participants in Thai soft power activities (Muay Thai, Thai culinary training, sport training, medical treatment, seminars, music festivals); spouse and dependent children under 20 of DTV holders
Entries
Multiple entries: the stay is counted per entry (up to 180 days per entry), with new entries possible throughout the visa's 5-year validity
Family
Spouse and children under 20 of a DTV holder may apply; requires the DTV holder's personal details (valid ID, passport biodata page, DTV approval) and additional documents for minors (birth certificate, parents' marriage certificate, copies of parents'/guardian's passports or IDs, notarized travel consent if travelling alone)
Documents
- Passport Biodata Page or Travel Document (valid within 6 months from travel date)
- Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months
- Document indicating current location (driving license, bank statement, or proof of stay)
- Recent bank statements for the last three months with an ending balance of no less than 500,000 THB (~$16,000 USD)
- Employment contract or employment certificate in their country, or professional portfolio showing digital nomad/remote worker/freelancer status
- For soft power activities: letter of acceptance from institute/company or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center
- For non-US citizens: copy of permanent resident alien card or valid US visa (min. 6 months validity), letter of proof of employment signed by HR/manager, for students proof of full-time status (I-20), for self-employed a business license/registration
- All supporting materials issued outside Thailand and the U.S. must be accompanied by certified English translations notarized by an Embassy or Ministry of Foreign Affairs
