Who qualifies
Persons working remotely for companies or clients based outside Namibia: freelancers, self-employed professionals or remote employees
Working for local clients
Not allowed — applicant must work for companies or clients based outside Namibia
Family
Spouse and children may accompany the applicant; each dependant must complete a separate application form and provide a marriage certificate and full birth certificate
Documents
- Completion of visa application form (3-1/0033) signed by applicant
- Accompanied dependant must complete separate application form (3-1/0033)
- Medical Certificate (3-1/0003)
- Radiological Report (31/0004)
- Certified copy of passport and/or legal status if in Namibia
- Proof of medical insurance and/or comprehensive travel insurance
- Motivation letter from NIPDB (submitted directly by NIPDB to MHAISS with application forms and supporting documents)
- Proof of Income/funds (Payslip/Employment Contract) to sustain yourself and dependants (USD 2000 - Applicant, USD 1000 - Accompany Spouse, USD 500 - per accompanying child per month)
- 6 Month Bank Statement
- Motivation letter from Employer
- Copies of qualifications
- Original/Notarized or Certified copy of Police Clearance from Country of Origin (translated into English)
- Marriage Certificate (for accompanying spouse)
- Full Birth Certificate (for accompanying child)

How to apply
Application is processed through NIPDB, which submits the motivation letter and documents directly to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHAISS); upon approval a loose entry visa is issued
Insurance
Valid international health and travel insurance covering risks while in Namibia is required

Renewal and residence
The visa is non-renewable; applicants can only reapply 12 months after the date of expiry; no change of condition is allowed
