Programme conditions
A long-stay visa for remote work, valid for one year
Who qualifies
Citizens of third countries employed by an employer registered in an OECD member state, or self-employed persons registered in an OECD member state, who can perform their duties remotely while staying in Latvia
Working for local clients
Remote work visa recipients do not have the right to employment in the Republic of Latvia
Documents
- A valid travel document (a copy of the passport if submitted by mail)
- Completed and signed visa form (e-form)
- Photograph (not older than 6 months)
- A copy of the document certifying health insurance (valid in Latvia and Schengen states, minimum liability limit not less than 42,600 euros)
- Documents confirming the expected place of residence in Latvia
- For employees: a document from the tax/social insurance authority of an OECD country certifying current employment, and an employer certificate of at least six months' prior employment, salary amount, and ability to work remotely
- For self-employed: a document from the tax authority of an OECD country certifying income earned over the last six months from self-employed activity
- A document confirming the payment of the state fee
